Amy and I have known each other for most of our lives. Our parents became friends when we were very young and we have grown up together, so when Amy and Chris got engaged I was over the moon excited to help plan the wedding. When I first met with Amy she was very adamant that she wanted a mountain side wedding. She wanted their backdrop to be the mountains of Charlottesville and that’s exactly what she got. Khimaira Farm does an amazing job setting up both sites and offers so much for their couples in decor. The wedding day went smoothly and even the rain didn’t stop these two from saying their “I Do’s”. The rain cleared up just in time as guests started to arrive. The ceremony was heartfelt, sweet and meaningful. It really showcased the love that Amy and Chris have for one another.
This gorgeous Sunday wedding paired with the peach and mint color scheme created a vibrant spring wedding. Some special details included a bracelet with her fathers handwriting, her brother giving her away and of course a special dance with her brother that was interrupted by Chris’s Dad that made every eye tear up. These moments made their wedding so special to me. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and spared no detail.
There were also some funny moments throughout the night that really lightened the mood such as the photo booth. Guests, bridal party and parents of the bride and groom made sure to take some hilarious photos to remember the day by. The Best Man made a video to surprise the couple with of friends and family that couldn’t attend the wedding. Everyone enjoyed the wedding so much that most stayed until the reception ended. The signature sangria was a hit with guests and the dessert bar was perfect for a sweet tooth. The night was full of dancing, photos and lots of smiles.
Thank you Amy and Chris for trusting my recommendations for vendors, for allowing me to plan the day and keeping it all about you two. It was an honor to be such a big part of your day. I loved everything about it and wish you both many years of happiness together. This will be one that I treasure forever.
